Adopting a simple, three-step approach that includes cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting your skin can help a huge difference in the way your skin appears and ages.
In addition to simplifying your approach, follow these tips from board-certified dermatologists.

Basic Skin Care
Cleanse:
Use a gentle cleanser that removes dirt, oil, and debris and helps prevent clogged pores and breakouts.
Do it before applying skin care products and before going to bed. Limit face washing to twice a day and after sweating.
Moisturizing:
Apply to damp skin. This maximizes the effect by trapping water in your skin which helps it look brighter and younger. Moisturize your face, body, and lips even if you have oily skin.
Sun Protection Using sun protection helps prevent age spots, wrinkles, and skin cancer. You can do this by seeking shade when outside, wearing sun-protective clothing, and applying sunscreen. Make sun protection an important part or your skin care regimen.
Products:
Consider using dual-function products. For example, select a moisturizer that has sunscreen and reapply every two hours or after swimming or sweating. Look for products that say “non-comedogenic” or “won’t clog pores.”
